Performance Eyecare - Dr. Dirk Massie, Optometrist

I have worked for over 30 years in the Optometric field, with all of them being at this office!  Basically, I know all the “ins and outs” of this office.  Additionally, I know several generations of patients here, and am very excited to continue meeting new patients and their families.  It is my job to make sure that you have a pleasant experience when you visit us.  If you have any suggestions on how we can better care for our patients, please do not hesitate to let me know. 

I have nearly 20 years of experience at this office.  I devote much of my time to submitting insurance claims for patients, a very daunting task with all the changes that continue to occur in the insurance industry.  During busy times, I assist the staff with eyeglass frame selections and teaching contact lens lessons.

I have worked at Performance Eyecare since August of 2004.  I am responsible for preparing patients for the Doctor to examine.  My training is ongoing and always interesting.  I really do learn something new everyday!  Since every patient is different, every day is an interesting one.  I’m looking forward to staying on top of all the new developments and technology that we keep bringing to our patients.

Chelsie is a graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  As the Assistant Office Manager, she is here to assist you in any way during your visit and make sure you have a pleasurable experience.   Chelsie will help you choose the proper eyeglass frames and lenses based on your visual needs and make any repairs or adjustments to ensure you are completely satisfied.  She looks forward to seeing you during your next visit to our office.
